Here you have Jackie the Ripper, a cocktail created by the Torre Rosa team.
Inspired in the cocktail Zombie, where your mix 3 kinds of rum, in this proposal we have mixed three great styles of Jack Daniel’s whiskey.
We have added the new Tennessee Honey and the Tennessee Rye to the usual taste of Old No. 7. The result is the great sum of the three without hiding between them and they are perfect to give strength to the rest of the ingredients.
One of the typical cakes of this celebration in the United States, is the orange and raspberries cake with almond flour. Thanksgiving Day began to be officially celebrated at the initiative of President Abraham Lincoln and to give thanks for the first abundant harvest of English settlers who settled in North America.
If we transform this recipe into liquid and add the virtues of the three Jack Daniel’s we have mixed, the result is a new enigmatic cocktail formula full of nuances that we just need to find a name for.
Surely it seems a proper name to accompany the Zombie, given the terrifying facts that starred Jack the Ripper. Various theories and more than 100 suspects, but the truth is that nobody has managed to prove the authorship of those terrible murders. 130 years later it is still a mystery and a source of numerous speculations. The theory that could be a woman was raised by John Morris in his book “Jack the Ripper: the hand of a woman” (Seren 2012). And why not? At the moment the enigma continues …
2 cl. Jack Daniel’s
2 cl. Jack Honey
2 cl. Jack Rye
5 cl. orange juice
3 cl. lemon juice
3 cl. almond syrup
Two drops of Angostura
All the ingredients in a shaker with broken ice. Shake and serve it without straining in a tall glass. Decorate with fresh fruit and mint leaves.
