Delicious cocktail with a citrus flavor. With the aroma of fresh herbs and a foamy cover to be amazed.
Sours are cocktails with a long history. They are described in Jerry Thomas’s 1862 book “How to Mix Drinks” and are made up of a spirit base (in this case gin), lemon juice and a sweetener. There are many variations that we can find in drink recipes. Whether changing the base distillate, transforming the texture or adding new flavors with fruits and syrups.
The Mandarin London Sour recipe shakes the whole formula: it incorporates the flavor of half mandarin crushed with lemon juice. Then the special sweetness of almond syrup and gin complete this wonder.
The egg white is the surprise ingredient that manages to build the foamy texture that makes us feel like we are in the clouds. The last detail is the herbal aroma of the sprig of rosemary that adds to all the botanical nuances offered by Bombay Saphire gin.
A new dress for a wonderful old recipe that you will not be able to forget.
