Cocktail inspired by the film “Little Miss Sunshine”, a comedy that broke the aesthetic canons. Directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, this road movie portraits the trip of a kind of difunctional and atypical family. It was released in the Sundance Film Festival on 2006 and was nominated to 4 Oscars, which finally won two: the best Actor in a Supporting Role for Alan Arkin and the best Original Screenplay for Michael Arndt.
We also want to break the topics and invite you to taste a cocktail elaborated with cognac, one of the rooted distillates and famous for being just a drink of old people. Well combined, they can offer us a very special flavour. In this case we do not have any cognac, but Hennessy, who is one of the oldest and most famous manufacturers of the region of France with D.O. Cognac.
The company was founded when Irish Richard Hennessy, who had been a mercenary for King Louis XV, was compensated with lands in the town of Cognac in France in 1765. Richard started a commercial business initially sending liquor to his friends and relatives in Ireland. His son, James Hennessy expanded the business to include his own cognac production. They renamed the business James (or Jacques, in French) Hennessy & Co., The name that the company still maintains today. The successive generations Hennessy have led the company, being the eighth generation now who is at the forefront of the business.
