Pornstar Martini, a cocktail from the 21st century

Cocktail created at the beginning of the 21st century by Douglas Ankrah, bartender of South African origin, now living in London. He is the owner of well-known bars like the London LAB’s Bar and the Townhouse Bar, in the Knightsbridge neigbourhood, he is bar and restaurant advisor and writer too.
In 2002 he created a cocktail that went around the world and has acquired international fame. This is the proposal of the month at Torre Rosa: the Pornstar Martini.

According to its creator, this cocktail has nothing sexual, he describes it as a bold, elegant and playful drink. His intention was to represent the festive, relaxed and pleasant atmosphere of cocktail bars. In addition, he affirms that like many other great creations of history, the mixture of ingredients left to him more by error than another thing …

Play and have fun

It is made from vanilla vodka, vanilla syrup, liquor and passion fruit puree and lemon juice. The glass is accompanied by a shot of cava and a half piece of passion fruit. The idea would be to drink the first the shot, eat the fruit afterwards and finally to end up drinking the cocktail quietly. But we will not be the ones who will decide the order. What we would like is that you are the ones that have fun experimenting with and choosing your favourite combination.
